Progress at your child's pace
Created exclusively for children with special needs, our Compass Award Scheme offers 1-to-1 lessons to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities. Led by trained instructors experienced in adaptive techniques, these classes provide a supportive environment where every child can succeed.
🐋 One-to-one, focused attention
Group lessons work well for some children, and not for others. We offer 1-to-1 lessons for children where group environments are not appropriate and don’t nurture a love for swimming. With dedicated attention, our instructors can fully understand what makes your child happy and able to learn.
🐋 Tailored award scheme
Award schemes and curriculum can be very linear. Some children thrive knowing what comes next and look forward to each milestone, while others get stuck and disheartened. Our Compass Award Scheme is fully customisable, so we are not pushing your child to achieve skills that they are not yet comfortable with, to the detriment of others.
🐋 Celebrating achievements
The Compass Scheme adapts to each, individual child’s progress, gently building skills and confidence, celebrating achievements big and small, and helping them to keep loving the water. Not following a linear path doesn’t mean they aren’t learning to swim!

We're here to do more than teach strokes. Happy Fins creates an environment where children feel comfortable, supported and genuinely happy to be in the pool.
Small classes, hands-on teaching
Up to two children per teacher in 1-to-1, 2-to-1 and SEND lessons.
Baby classes have a 6-to-1 ratio, with grown-ups in the water and a teacher guiding the class.
